If you don’t know yet, gas grills surpassed charcoal grills sales in 1994. Nowadays, 60% of the grills are gas, and there are two good reasons for this.

You Have Know About Gas Grills

First, gas grill are just very convenient. There’s no need to set up the charcoal bed, which requires a bit of skill and know-how. You just turn on the dial, and you’ll be ready to start barbequing in 15 minutes. This also means you can start cooking sooner. For some reason, you could be late getting home, and you need to have those frozen burgers and steaks cooked in an hour. In this case, a gas grill is your best friend.

The second reason why gas grill are popular is because they offer greater heat control. The problem with charcoal grill is that if you want more heat, then you’ll need to use more charcoal. How much charcoal to use to get a certain temperature is not only tricky, but also very inconvenient. With gas grills, you just need to dial a button on thermometer to control the temperature.

On the downside, high end gas grills are typically more expensive compared to charcoal grills. Also, unless your gas grill is top-of-the-line, it will likely just reach 500°F, and that’s not enough to quickly sear and caramelize your food without running the risk of drying up the insides.
